What is the Smart Home Concept?
Previously reserved only for tech gurus like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates and sci-fi, smart homes are more common and are a rapidly growing industry.

The word “Smart Home” is primarily used to describe a house full of TVs, computers, air conditioning, etc., that can be remotely operated by a telephone or Internet connection at any location. But any area of life in which technology is in the home, including light bulbs, dishwashing machines, etc. inspired by the implementation of a smart home concept. Let’s see the idea of an intelligent house.

A smart home is more than just programming lights or the coffee maker to turn off and on at certain times, but a fully integrated system you can seamlessly monitor and control everything.

A Smart Home has its devices interconnected through the internet through a concept known as “the Internet of Things” or IoT, and gives you on-demand access to control your lighting, home security, thermostat regulation and home theater and entertainment. It can be as simple as saying, "Alexa, turn on the kitchen room light."

All of your devices (internet-enabled) are all connected to a central network, your Wi-Fi network. Each of these items will be assigned a unique IP address, giving you the ability to access, monitor, and control the objects or features remotely.

The core of a Smart Home is a Central Platform or Hub to which the internet-enabled devices are connected and one of the main aspects to keep in mind is integration.

In fact, the first step to create a smart home is first to choose the virtual assistant ecosystem, because it defines which hardware to be acquired. Today, in the market there are several ecosystems available, but three are leading it, these are Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Siri.

For the second step, you need to choose what features you want to begin eg. Climate, Lighting, Entertainment, etc. and then choosing the respective hardware. Again, it's important to remember, always keep in mind integration.

The las step is simply to integrate the hardware to your ecosystem and start using your voice or smartphone/tablet to control all your connected devices.
