Smart Lighting
A smart house is equipped with monitors used to control many features in the home including the lighting. With many smart houses, people are able to use and adjust these features from a remote Internet connection. For most people interested in living in a smart home, lighting is the entry point.

The lighting may be adjusted from a keypad within the home or checked from a remote location. The connection tells the homeowner what lights are on. The homeowner then turns lights on and off as desired. Smart technology also works to save homeowners money. A smart house can be set to automatically turn lights down to where they are using only 50% or 75% of the power they are capable of instead of 100%. This helps save money and extend the life of the bulbs.

Smart LED bulbs contain software that connects to an app, smart home assistant, or other smart accessory so you can automate your lights or control them remotely. Many smart lighting systems work perfectly well without a central hub and are still capable of interacting with other smart home elements.

Smart lighting, gives you by far more control over your lights. They are still connected to your home's power, but each smart bulb and LED-integrated fixture allows you to control it wirelessly with your phone, tablet, or smart assistant, such as Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
